Nation Black Programming Consortium has a  32 year track record for funding independent films covering topics that are not given much attention and often neglected in the mainstream media representation of African Peoples in the U.S. and around the globe. The organization operates as a not for profit NGO with a high regard for their mission. The organization has integrated online presence and social media messaging  into their promotions and publishing toolbox. The site saw up to 16k Visits during it’s lowest traffic months of the year. For those who ask yourselves “why would an organization need help with traffic like that ?” you are primed by the set up and are now ready for the challenge.

After performing an audit of the client’s webpages and social media presence, we designed a holistic content marketing, search marketing and social media marketing strategy that we were sure to show the best analytics performance for The NBPC, blackpublicmedia.org, it’s social media accounts and the series presentations. This plan included managing and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns, Organic Search optimization for strategic pages, creating a flow of information that would clearly move users to several URLs and keep them coming back for more.


From 06/16/2011 – 09/16/2011 the result were astounding. The main URL recorded 91,505 visits during the three month campaign, compared to a year before 6/16/2010 – 09/16/2010 the same domain recorded 58,491 visits. While increasing the sites overall traffic by over 10k visits per month we made sure to keep users coming back with some critical revisions of site level programming, meta data and timing of messages. The domains of the series blackfolkdont.com and mondoblack.com recorded another 11k + visits. The overall result was a tremendous return on investment, due to fundamentally sound strategies that allowed the client to grow in visibility, user engagement and cost efficiency for advertising and promotions per google analytics recorded visit compared to previous years.
