One of the country’s top African-American film festivals needed a new identity to represent its luxurious location.
7ONE8 re-branded the identity by capturing the feel of Martha’s Vineyard, all while blending in the world of independent filmmaking.
From the film festival logo, website and print material to the free standing banner walls and event passes, the brand was reiterated using the lighthouse element.
7ONE8 has continued a 5 year relationship with the festival where each year, a new theme is created and implemented to all the web and online elements.
After the re-branding 2005, the amount of film submissions and attendees increased. The festival has attracted sponsorships from HBO Television and Essence Magazine and is in its 8th season.
Today the film festival is expanding from its Martha’s Vineyard location to a second location, Charlotte, North Carolina.
