EXPERT DIY TIPS
Do I have to Google +?

The answer is basically YES!

I know you don’t want a whole new social network that you have to learn

OR remember one more login

OR re-live all over again finding someone from your past like when you first open a Facebook account, and Twitter account and Myspace account … not to mention LinkedIn account and Bebo account and Friendster account and … u get it.

Well this time you won’t have to. As Americans are spending 41.1million minutes on Facebook vs 39.8 million minutes on Google a year, you bet google is out to get Facebook.

There really is nothing to relearnbecause it echoes the familiar Facebook home and profile pages, tabs for photos and games, and updates from friends. Google’s +1 button works much like Facebook’s Like. But where Facebook screwed up on people’s privacy preferences, Google+ made it very easy to decide who can see what users post on the site..or is it that people are more aware of online privacy and Google+ had enough data to make it a priority (easy as possible) in this “new” social network.

Also you won’t have to remember a new login because if you use any google applications, like Google Docs, Google Reader, Blogger, or even Google Search ALREADY have a login for Google +. With an easy one button step, your profile is open, connected to all Google that you use.

As to reliving the excitement of finding your lost lost friend or the embarrassment of someone disappear from find you… well without this de-ja-vu of an experience it wouldn’t be a “social network” … but at least Google made it as seamless transition. Convenient I must say but also a bit creepy.

And now with Google Plus Pages for businesses, I would not doubt if the current 40 million users Google already has will increase. With less then 24hrs of opening google+ page doors for business, companies from Ford to The Muppets have open up a page along with a Google+ Hangout with Kermit and Miss Piggy…with Miss Piggy posting a status update of changing here wardrobe 4 times before the live event…

The question now is, will it beat the 800 million users Facebook currently has? As the saying goes, “when your in Rome, do as the Romans do” and come join my circle on 7ONE8’s google+ page. Also check out their ad, at least better then facebook ads…
