Racebrook Lodge, a 200 yr old authentic Bed & Breakfast in the Berkshires needed an online rebuilding that equaled the true nature, antiquity and rustic versatility of the land. Racebrook Lodge contained a 200 yr old post & beam barn, numerable cottages, plus a farm and offered beautifully individually decorated rooms w/ private bathrooms and absolutely no telephone, internet, tv or radio … a truly back in time ease.
The aim of the re-branding was to fill Racebrook Lodges winters and summer with weekend getaways, rustic weddings, corporate gatherings, family reunions to yoga retreats and permaculture workshops. The site’s online presence was first reorganized via the website because its original HTML structure and organization of its information was overwhelmed with how much it needed to say. The information architecture was redesigned to put focus on the 4 main rental structures, browse thru 30+ rooms more intuitively and highlight the different Racebrook Lodge uses via the slideshow.
We then redesigned all its online social real estate from twitter to facebook as well as connected the website to RaceBrook Lodge’s social media. Next we edited and optimized the site’s writing to appeal to keyword specific searches and make it easier for those looking for what RaceBrook Lodge had to offer.
Finally we created a content strategy based on not only highlighting the amazing rustic amenities but also the local Berkshire area events for Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. Additionally we created Facebook Referral raffle where the winner wins $50 gift certificate towards dinner at The Stagecoach Cavern, a fine dining experience dating back to mid to late 1700’s.
